Is weed legal in Swansea?
Weed is legal in all of Massachusetts, including Swansea. Just like in all of Massachusetts, you’ll need to stay within the legal limits when it comes to carrying and using marijuana. As long as you’re 21 or older, you can have up to an ounce of marijuana on your person and up to ten ounces in a locked box at home.
While Massachusetts and many surrounding states have fully legalized or decriminalized marijuana use, it’s important that you don’t cross state lines with weed in your car. Doing so is still considered a felony, as marijuana is classified as a controlled substance. As long as you keep your weed in a sealed container in your car, however, you’ll be good to transport it from Somerset back to Swansea.
