WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THC AND TAC (TOTAL ACTIVE CANNABINOIDS)?
THC (Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) is the psychoactive compound found in the cannabis Plant. THC strongly binds to receptors in the brain, which is why those who consume it are more likely to report feeling “euphoria” after consuming it, often described as feeling “high”.
TAC or “Total Active Cannabinoids” in the compounded values of all cannabinoids that are found the specific cannabis strain. This % number will always be slightly higher than the Total THC value. This will let the user know what the other levels aside from just THC one might find in the strain. Examples of other cannabinoids are CBN, CBG and, Delta-8 THC.
