Solar Cannabis Co. Raises $1,200 to Support MA Breast Cancer Patients

In honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month this past October, Solar Cannabis Co. committed to raising funds for local organization Ellie FundBased in the metrowest town of Needham, Ellie Fund provides essential support services for breast cancer patients in Massachusetts. The team at Solar Cannabis Co., along with the help of our generous customers, is happy to announce that they were able to raise nearly $1,200 for the cause.

Ellie Fund helps to ease the stresses of everyday life for breast cancer patients, allowing their focus to be on family, recovery and healing. They also provide transportation to medical appointments, light housekeeping services, nutritional and grocery assistance, childcare reimbursement, and nutritious prepared/delivered meals, as well as integrative therapy services. All services are provided to patients free of charge through the Healing Together Patient and Family Care Program and Metastatic Breast Cancer Support Program. The support provided by Ellie Fund helps relieve patients’ burdens while in treatment.

This is the second year in a row that Solar Cannabis Co. has supported Ellie Fund during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. “We just believe that it’s a really great organization,” says Derek Gould, Director of Marketing & Communications. “We chose to work with Ellie Fund because we know that this organization provides real, tangible support to breast cancer patients. We especially like that our support will directly impact patients within our own community.”

Somerset-based Solar Cannabis Co. makes it a priority to support the MA community, choosing a different local charity to work with each month. It is their intention to continue to support Ellie Fund in the years to come.
