Solar Partners with Maple Hill Disc Golf Course

SOMERSET, Mass. (July 22, 2022) Solar Cannabis Co. (Solar) today announced its official partnership with Maple Hill Disc Golf Course (Maple Hill) as its presenting sponsor throughout the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Solar (a leading vertically integrated cannabis operator in the State of Massachusetts) and Maple Hill (the top-ranked disc golf course in the world) have partnered to deliver a unique synergy between both markets. Solar’s presenting sponsorship of Maple Hill, which is conveniently located in Leicester, MA, marks the first time a cannabis company has aligned with an entity within the disc golf industry. Solar will have various engagements, activations, and advertisements throughout all 18 holes of its four-course configuration.

“We are super excited to partner with Maple Hill,“ said Edward Dow, CEO of Solar Cannabis Co. “I’ve always had a feeling that this seemingly-niche sport, which has strong ties to cannabis, is going to take off. That’s what inspired us to meld Solar with one of the world’s most renowned disc golf courses.”

The disc golf movement, which has been known to evolve from the “hippie culture” in Southern California nearly 40 years ago, is now an established sport with millions of players and massively-attended national and international tournaments. Over its evolution, the nature of the game has created an inclusive and casual sport where individuals who tend to seek an alternative to “the links” can play a more laid-back, but competitive game.

“We are proud to partner with Solar Cannabis Co., the premier vertically-integrated cannabis producer in Massachusetts,” said Steve Dodge, co-owner of Maple Hill Disc Golf. “Their commitment to sustainability and quality makes our collaboration a perfect fit.

In addition, Solar’s partnership with Maple Hill also includes its own B2B Cannabis Industry Invitational taking place on September 15, as well as the presenting sponsor at the renowned “MVP Open” a coveted stop on the “Disc Golf Pro Tour.”

“Solar was built to provide a sustainable, premium cannabis product to the Massachusetts market,” said Dow. “What better place to enjoy the State’s best cannabis products than on the State’s best disc golf course?”
