Cannabis Users, Shops Suffer High Anxiety After Mass. Shuts Down Recreational Sales

In response to the COVID-19 Virus outbreak, Solar Therapeutics CEO (Edward Dow) sat down with NBC News’ Mansee Khurana to discuss how the global pandemic has affected the Cannabis Industry in Massachusetts and how it’s directly impacting sales and consumer trends. 

“This mandated closing essentially stops the marijuana market in Massachusetts,” Dow said. “We hope that the governor sympathizes with this petition and sees the thousands of lives this is affecting”

Khurana also went on to speak directly with cannabis consumers who opted not to get their medical marijuana card and solely rely on adult-use cannabis for their physical and mental ailments.

“I have no idea what I’m going to do” if the order stays in place, she said. “Am I going to have to go to the black market, or am I going to have to try and get my card renewed and potentially expose myself to people who are sick?”
