If you’re a fan of live music, you’re always on the hunt for some awesome local concerts. If you’re also a fan of cannabis, you know how fantastic it is when you find a concert that aligns with your weed-friendly views. A Brief Overview of the Bands

Buddahfly

Buddahfly is a reggae-rock group based out of the South Shore of Massachusetts, near Boston. The band’s sound is powerful and transcendent, which is partly why it has won two Boston Music Awards and a New England Music Award since 2022. Although the music itself is incredibly enjoyable, Buddahfly really shines when putting on a live show. As one of the headliners for this event, they’ll ensure you get a concert worth remembering.

Buddahfly consists of lead vocalist and guitarist Brandon Lynch, lead and rhythm guitarist Will Glass, drums and percussionist Scott Cargill, saxophone and lead vocalist Jimmy McDonald, trombonist Bryce Staley, and trumpeter Kelly Emery. The band has been around since 2018 and worked with such contemporaries as Freddie MacGregor, The Elovaters, Roots of Creation, and Fortunate Youth.

Cultivated Mind

Cultivated Mind is a reggae and dub act that has been around since 2013. The brainchild of founder Anthony Brand, Cultivated Mind has been producing live shows, EPs, and albums for the last dozen years. The band’s sound contains influences from many sources, including jazz, salsa, hip-hop, and blues.

Live performances are where Cultivated Mind gets to showcase these influences in new and creative ways. In addition to original songs and medleys, the band also performs remixes and dub versions of classic reggae, flamenco, and salsa songs. Some of these performances are also improvisational, so they’re unlike anything you can experience outside of a live show.

Iriespect

Iriespect is a six-member band specializing in reggae, dub, hip-hop, and rap. The group is based out of Long Island, New York, and has been performing throughout the greater tri-state area for years. Their live performances are an energetic blast of music from different genres and influences, combining vocals, dubs, dancing, and live instruments for a truly one-of-a-kind sound. The mix of songs ranges from upbeat bangers to more mellow melodies.

3rd Left

3rd Left is the oldest band on this roster, having been performing since the early 2000s across the Eastern seaboard. Although band members have come and gone, the soul of the group is still alive and strong. Third Left plays a blend of rock, funk, and jazz music that is both pleasing to the ears and helps get your feet moving. As a veteran act, 3rd Left knows a thing or two about crafting a memorable and dynamic live show, so they’re an exciting addition to this event. Overall, the goal of 3rd Left is to create music that uplifts and brings the community together.
